Indulge in a day away in mind and spirit at Village Yoga, Newfane.

Start the day off with an all levels yoga class with Jen Frey, followed by a talk about the 6 Tastes in Ayurveda, and how they affect our doshas, and the importance of Eating Mindfully with Lini Mazumdar of Anjali Farm. Then spend time enjoying the garden grounds relaxing by the pool, or heading out for a hike. A nourishing vegetarian lunch by Lini will be served midday as well as afternoon tea. End the day with a SPA Yoga sweet slow movement and meditation that will have you floating home feeling refreshed and renewed.

12:00 - 1:00 Lunch
1:00 - 3:00 Free time to enjoy the pool and garden, or a mindfulness hike.
3:00 - 4:15 - SPA Yoga and Yoga Nidra Class
4:15 - 5:00 - Make a slow and relaxing exit

We had such an amazing time on our 2018 retreat that we're going back April 14-20, 2019. This week will fit with school break and still have you back in time for Easter.

he Azores are a MUST SEE retreat destination: 
The land, the people, the food, the's unlike any other place in the world, and is absolutely breathtaking and magical. It's an outdoor activity lovers paradise, with something for everyone - incredible hiking through rolling pastures and volcanic rims, soaking in hot springs, as well as world class surfing and gorgeous black sand beaches. It's also incredibly clean, safe, first-world and zika free. 
As for the climate, expect Spring-like temperatures in the 50's and 60's - perfect for outdoor adventuring and exploring - and a welcomed reprieve from the cold, gloomy days of mud season! ;) Bring your layers, your rain gear and your hiking boots. The weather in the Azores is sub-tropical and often unpredictable, but what is for sure is that we will have an amazing time!

The Retreat Center: 
We will be staying at Quinta Minuvida, a orchard lodge surrounded by gardens, fruit orchards, a saltwater pool and plenty of private areas for relaxation. *5 Nights / 6 Days lodging at Quinta Minuvida
*Three locally sourced and inspired Azorean meals daily, some at Quinta Minuvida with a private chef, some at nearby restaurants, or out picnic style
*Two group excursions to some of the island’s best hikes, relaxing hot springs, beaches and local towns, including all guides and transportation
*Daily Fluid Yoga and Meditation classes with Jen
*Roundtrip airport transfers from Ponta Delgada Airport (PDL) to Quinta Minuvida and back (about a 15 minute ride each way).

*Airfare to Ponta Delgada (PDL) - we will provide you with info on which exact flights to book. Flight leaves from Boston on the 14th, the retreat starts on the 15th.

In this Fluid Mind and Spirit Intensive students explore a central question: How can we let go of fear, craving and attachment in order to become happier and more content? The Fluid Mind approach begins with a foundational understanding of Tibetan Buddhist mind training, and explores the science of meditation. The Fluid Spirit explores the tools students need to better understand their own minds.
